North Shore Career Center

The One-Stop Career Center System, with more than 35 Career Centers and 5 satellites in the Commonwealth, is the mandated system for the delivery of workforce services to jobseekers and businesses. This regional system is overseen by the 16 business-led Workforce Investment Boards (WIBs) in Massachusetts working in partnership with Chief Elected Officials, (Mayors or City Managers).

The North Shore WIB believes and understands that a skilled workforce will ensure the State's competitive economic advantage. Our three Career Centers located within the North Shore region are designed to help companies and individuals get all available services in the simplest and most efficient manner.

  Internet access to America's Job Bank and other on-line resources, i.e., E-mail access   Access to economic data and labor market information
  Education and Training Opportunities: information and financial aid   Information on employment tax credits
  Information on unemployment insurance   Information about various training vendors and programs
  Walk-in unemployment insurance services   Access to financial support for training programs
  Unemployment insurance orientation   Customized recruitment fairs, either on-site at the company or at the Career Centers
  Staff assisted resource room services including newspapers, professional journals, business directories, education/training catalogs, job postings, computers, telephones, fax machines, and copiers   Information on various employment laws and regulations.
  Publications on job search activities and careers   Information on how to access other company-support initiatives, such as small business loans, relocation support, and related programs.
  Local and statewide labor market data
